I am not sure of this error message but the problem may be with your config file. Did you try executing the bacula-fd from a command window? I can gain access to the director but I cannot start the service. I don't see any errors when I try to start that service other than what I've

I was just curious about the win32 version of the client. What is the win32 service for then? The bacula-fd application (which is the win32 client) will run from the command line or as a service automatically. Most people want it to run automatically and stay running when the user loggs out
