No, it wouldn't help to post this to the bugs database.  In this case, the 
error was fatal as it indicates. It was not just a problem with a single tape 
but a problem with the drive so Bacula failed the job, which is the way it is 
designed to work. 

If you want it to send a message to the operator on a fatal error, you must 
tell it to do so.
