Hi Everyone,
I'm attempting to configure a semi-permanent full monthly backup, in
addition to a weekly full backup with 4 daily incrementals.
When last month's backup completed, it seems to have immediately
pruned the files from the catalog:

Hi,
Does anyone have experience with the Quickport (or Quickport duo) [1] in
combination with Bacula? I suppose one could use it to make backups to
disk, without the need for an expensive multi-disk-enclosure (with or
without RAID). This would work more like backups to tape (with manual

Hi Larry,
I'm CC'ing this email to the bacula users list, as in general you'll get a
much better response asking the list as a whole than one random person off of
the list such as myself.

Hi, bacula list,
I modified the maximum concurrent jobs from default 1 to 20. (I have
different deviced for different clients)
and I did a reload in bconsole.
But the jobs waiting for execution don't start automatically.
Is there a way to start them all. One slow job has affected other jobs

Hi,
since the topic came up on the list: We're using a custom C# program to
roll out Bacula on client machines. This program is Gui based, since we
use multiple bacula instances to back up data. However it a) opens the
firewall for Bacula fd (via COM), b) copies C:\Documents and
Settings\... to

Yes, something like this:

Actually, the quickport pro does feature an e-sata connection (the
quickport duo has two e-sata connections), so no problems there.
The point of my question was more about the hot-swapping part of the

change tapes?
It should
