When I had a similar problem, it turned out that to be a mismatch in the
client name. The director thought it was client-fd, while the fd thought
it was just client. Took me a week to spot that ;-)

Greetings all!
I have a job that requires a command to prepare some files before
backup. I use the ClientRunBeforeJob directive, and the config looks
like:
ClientRunBeforeJob = /usr/local/etc/dump '%l' '%n' '%s'
But the script is fired up as: (which obviously breaks incremental

Hello,
I'm triying to setup the bacula exchange agent 1.0.7 from
http://www.meadowcourt.org/downloads/, but I'm still having some issues,
first I don't know how to install the agent as a service, in the install
instructions say *Install as a service using the shortcuts provided in the
install.
Do you use the FQDN?
This was one problem i have had!

I am using compressed,
GZIP backup.
You should not do that with a LTO drive. This will slow your backups
down tremendously. The drive itself compresses data at over 100MB/s, I
have not seen a cpu that can do more than 20 MB/s. I know my 2.83GHz
core2 quad is no way as fast as my LTO2 tape drive

Otherwise, what is the error in the job.
