First off - read the documentation.

All of it. Twice. And again, for good luck. :-)

Like most FLOSS they're probably not up to date, but so much is
explained in them that it makes life easier in the long run.

Then, when you have questions, ask them here.

I was lucky enough to be able to set up Bacula in a test environment
when I started using it, so I could break things willy-nilly and it
would not cause problems. (This is still my preferred way of learning a
new system, why change something that has worked for nigh on four
decades!  ;-) )

Cheers,

[Bacula-users] windows file - fileset path

2020-12-12 Thread mac-eduki2.co.uk

Hi there
Hope all is well
May I ask if anyone can offer advice on setting the file path in my
file set for Windows 2012 r2 to target program files

I have other File paths to direct folders working correctly, for example

File = c:/MyStuff

This is where I want to go

File = C:/ProgramFiles(x86)/SmarterTools/SmarterMail/Service

Leaving spaces between Program and Files does not seem to work either

I am on Bacula 7.6

Error message from bconsole

 Could not stat "C:/ProgramFiles(x86)/SmarterTools/SmarterMail/Service":
ERR=The system cannot find the path specified.

Any help would be appreciated

Kind Regards
Brad
