[Bacula-users] change tape status while backups are running
If I have multiple backups running to the same virtual disk based tape and then set that tape status to full will it simply move on to the next tape without damaging the backups in progress or existing data? Is there some way I can force it to move onto the next tape mid-backup? - Original Message - From: John Drescher dresche...@gmail.com To: Jesse Angell jesse.ang...@firespring.com, bacula-users Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net Sent: Wednesday, June 2, 2010 3:05:37 PM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central Subject: Re: [Bacula-users] change tape status while backups are running On Wed, Jun 2, 2010 at 4:01 PM, Jesse Angell jesse.ang...@firespring.com wrote: If I have multiple backups running to the same virtual disk based tape and then set that tape status to full will it simply move on to the next tape without damaging the backups in progress or existing data? Re: [Bacula-users] Bacula 5.0.2 and is waiting on storage file
Agree - I can't figure it out. I found a similar bug: http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1578 I commented my issue in it. - Original Message - From: Phil Stracchino ala...@metrocast.net To: bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2010 1:54:26 PM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central Subject: Re: [Bacula-users] Bacula 5.0.2 and is waiting on storage file On 05/25/10 14:45, Jesse Angell wrote: I'm pretty sure my configuration is fine. [Bacula-users] Bacula 5.0.2 and is waiting on storage file
I recently upgraded from Bacula 3.0.3 to 5.0.2. All of my backups go directly to disk. Quite often when multiple concurrent jobs try to run they'll stick on is waiting for storage file. This never happened on 3.0.3. Any ideas? First of all, check that all your Maximum Concurrent Jobs settings are correct in ALL applicable resources, in both the bacula-sd.conf and bacula-dir.conf files. Also check that you haven't set the Use Volume Once preference (which is usually a mistake made due to misunderstanding what it does). -- Phil Stracchino, CDK#2 DoD#299792458 ICBM: 43.5607, -71.355 ala...@caerllewys.net ala...@metrocast.net p...@co.ordinate.org Renaissance Man, Unix ronin, Perl hacker, Free Stater It's not the years, it's the mileage. -- ___ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users -- ___ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
