There's also the disable bconsole command which allows you to disable
certain backup jobs. This way, you won't have to change the
 configuration files.

 That's working, thanks.

hint: if you do a reload in bconsole or you restart the director the
jobs get active again.

Hi,

Just comment out the jobs in jobs.conf and it will not do those backups.
Make sure to either reload bacula or stop/restart bacula to make the
configuration changes stick. Then just uncomment the jobs when yo are done
with what you need to do and restart bacula again.

 Hi,
I'm looking for a way to tell bacula to stop doing backups while I do some

I have one tape which is in VolStatus=Append and I wanted to add another
tape to the pool. I unmounted and ejected the tape then wrote an EOF
 marker
on the new tape, started up bconsole and labeled it. As soon as I had
finished this, a bacula job which had been scheduled started writing to

Is there a way of holding backups in queue until tasks like labeling or
 restoring are finished?

I'm new to bacula so I might be thinking about this the wrong way, but I
 would appreceate any guidance.
