I not an expert but i use disk storage and if y have a "Maximum Volume
Bytes" when the max arrived , Bacula mount a new file.
For the tape it's the same.
so you can put 800+ GB (to be confirmed)

Hi,
I had a query about what volume sizes to use.
My backups will be span multiple 2TB disks using the vchanger add on.
My current thinking is to have 4 Volumes on each disk with a max volume
size of 500gb each.
What are the pros and cons of splitting volumes into smaller sizes but
having more
Every try coping a half tb file? 40 50GB files and a pile of virtual
drives can be a lot more manageable. There is no real downside to more
smaller files.
