Hi, The "free" command is running before every WRITE. If "free" command does not work properly then WRITE will not work. "dvd-handler" script uses the "popen2" Python module which in new Python version throws warning because this module is deprecated in new Python. That may be your issue after the

That free command probably works, as the dvdhandler is totally cabable to READ, but not WRITE to the media. I restored data from my Lenny backup into new Squeeze without problems. But any try to write to the media failed, including a try to blank a dvd using growisofs. I'm amazed to see that you h
