Hello,
We were using the 2.4.3 version of Bacula on Debian Etch for a long
time and two days ago upgraded to the 2.4.4 version.
Since then we encountered now the second day a problem with the
automatic volume recycling.
We use a backup to disk and have defined a pool as following so that

Hello,
I installed the bacula win32 version on a Windows Vista 64bit pc.
I enabled VSS in the job definition.

So I checked the services Microsoft Software Shadow, Copy Provider and
Volume Shadow Copy.
Both services are started.
Then I

So you're saying there was nothing wrong with bacula-sd behaviour? Or you're
saying that I've misconfigured bacula-sd somehow (eg. too many devices or

much, so I decided to ask you: how are your experiences about abre metal
backup/restore to windows servers?
I've seen some suggestions around the web, but they look pretty
estrange, doing disk images before coping

There was some discussion about the 64-bit version of the FD, on
bacula-dev a few months back. There are two approaches people are
trying. One approach is to make a 64-bit build (using a
Hello Christian,
So in the end I caved in and have all diffs and incs go to a single volume
with a Volume Use Duration = 23 hours in the pool definition.
Thanks for that hint! I will give it a try to see if it solves this
problem. Especially that suddenly all jobs shine up in the status
none of those bugs are specific to dvds
the mod bug happens even from File to File
and the max part size bug is actually working well on DVDs and NOT on
