Re: [Bacula-users] ERR=Out of memory, unfortunately still there

Hi Radoslaw,

yes, I am sure ;). After having fiddeled a lot around, I think that there is
something wrong with the network hardware of the server. I am currently moving
Bacula to another system to verify this.

Thank you nonetheless :)

Hi Radoslaw,

thank you for your answer and sorry for the delay in my answer.
I have already checked the limits, there aren't any (checked with docker
inspect and with the files
in /proc).

Does anybody have any further idea?

If you are absolutely sure that this is not a docker or os level resource limit
then I can't help you.
I've got an exact error with another application running in docker, so I
thought I would share.

cheers

Hi folks,

may sb rembers: I had already written to this list with this problem on
12/2025.

Unfortunately, the problem is still here:

Some (not all) bigger Backups (> ca. 300GB) keep failing with: Error: Error
syncing volume "Vol-0498" on device "$DEV" (/mnt/$MOUNTPOINT). ERR=Out of
memory.
Sometime (not always) there is also the error:  Appending data failed
18-Mar 21:28 dir-$DIR JobId 5160: Error: openssl.c:108 TLS read/write failure.:
ERR=error:8020:system library::Broken pipe

My setup is Bacula 15.0.2, running in docker containers.

Please check what is your resource limitation on this container.
