Thank you, that helps. bareos-dbcheck was able to clean up quite a bit in my database.
I saw that I could manually remove things from the database, but I want to make sure that everything stays consistent. The devices that I'm looking to remove were attached at one point and are no longer attached to the system. -- Research Scientist Raytheon BBN Technologies 5775 Wayzata Blvd, Ste 630 Saint Louis Park, MN, 55416 Office: 952-545-5720 ________________________________ From: bareos-users@googlegroups.com <bareos-users@googlegroups.com> on behalf of Frank Bergkemper <frank.bergkem...@bareos.com> Sent: Wednesday, June 21, 2017 5:29:40 PM To: bareos-users@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: [bareos-users] Cleaning up the database Hi Jon, make sure such devices and clients are no longer defined in your current configuration files and have a look at http://doc.bareos.org/master/html/bareos-manual-main-reference.html#Bareos-dbcheck on how to remove orphaned clients from your catalog database. Remember, clients can only be removed by bareos-dbcheck if there are no jobrecords left in your catalog which are associated with the client. Devices can not be removed by bareos-dbcheck. You can only remove them manually from the device table of your catalog database, which is not recommended unless you really know what you are doing.
