In my oppinion they are misinterpreted alternative double-parts for flute or violin and cello. The information is added by a later hand to the MS, very pale for SC 54 and 59, almost invisible for SC 56, at least in my copy of Dresden (Erbe deutscher Musik). You find that also in

I am adamantly opposed to the term fake music as applied here. The Barchi prelude is real music, as is my own. Misattribution is a legitimate marketing tool with a long history. Fake music would rather describe Stockhausen, Cage, Furrer, Sciarrino et al. RT - Original Message - From:
