It seems to me there is a third option that would be popular, along with, 
"No nothing," and, "New text document."

"New text document if not opening an existing file."

The request comes from the fact that when opening an existing file, BBEdit 
opens that file AND creates a new text document if you have "New text 
document," selected.  Alternately, you can can get the desired behavior 
when opening an existing file by selecting, "Do Nothing," but lose the 
ability to start with a new document when not opening an existing file.

Ideally there would be a way to have the best of both setting and create a 
new text document if activating without passing an existing file to open, 
and to not create a new text document if in the process of opening an 
existing file.

Thoughts?
