I love the Project view, it keeps my text docs organized. I'm not even a
programmer.

Any chance there can be a link, perhaps under the Help menu, to either
the BBEdit Google Group, or the page on barebones.com that links here?

This is the BBEdit Talk public discussion group. If you have a
feature request or would like to report a problem, please email

Thank you! Sorry for the spanner in the works!

I have to do a lot of documentation - in plain text, and would like to be
able to have BBEdit automatically change the color of certain bits of text
so that they stand out.
For example, I want to have BBEdit color the word "printer" in the sentence
"When you need to add a printer to your Mac…",
You mean like this? If so, then BBEdit 11 has it :)

Not a server admin, but why isn't the server segmenting that log file?

Agreed.
I was always using workarounds, and demos and then I finally strapped on my
big boy pants™ and bought a copy.
This application is fantastic, the support top-notch, and if my purchase
helps to develop a Yojimbo 5 (cough cough), then it's money well spent.

If I could throw my hat in the ring, I don't code — and I'm probably
using BBEdit all wrong, but I use it with the Project view to store text
files with all kinds of notes on my job, as well as notes for each ticket I
have to deal with at my 9-to-5.
Could I do it with a cheaper solution? Probably,
I'd have to check myself, but perhaps switching the language for the
document?

I completely understand.
I try and keep as much Mac stuff as close to stock as possible, and my
documents in the cloud as possible so that if something catastrophic
happened, I could still access everything from a different computing device.
Welcome to BBEdit 12 :)

I drag the folder into the sidebar from the Finder. If you want to change
the name, right-click on the item and choose Rename.

I noticed that PopClip has stopped appearing when selecting text in recent
builds of BBEdit. If I had to wager a guess, it started (or stopped,
depending on how you look at it) with the 64-bit builds. Is anyone else
seeing this? For what it's worth, I don't have BBEdit on the list of

Whattaya know? Rebooting PopClip fixed the issue (yes, I’ve gone too lone
between reboots).
Thank you so much!
