Yes, enabling ttyO1 is easy with v3.14.x

Happy to find community is alive! I hope my 3G modem works; I think
insufficient power from the hub. I couldn't find wvdial package in angstrom
and frustrated to compile wvdial source. I really thought BBB community is
loosing in addition to these bugs my friends have gone for Arduino n
please make BBB's one n only USB port to be repluggable while running.

I updated ubuntu BBB image to Ubunru Saucy 13.10 Image Updated: 2014-02-16
as I'm expecting the hot pluggable USB fix. Now when I want to ssh into
BBB, the BBB is halting down. Upon retrying with luck I'm able to ssh into
BBB. Now when I'm trying to run some program like ntpdate, apt-get
the bug persists in Ubuntu Trusty 14.04(experimental). It reverted to
Ubuntu 13.04 and now its working good.

I made an upstart script that restarts networking service on iface usb0 up.
I found that some program is resetting the usb0 interface at start up after
the interface usb0 up.

I mistakenly connected BBB to 12V battery instead of 5V battery. I heard a
pop sound and my BBB's heart beat never beat again :'( None of its five
led's glow. I hope some capacitor went off or does it have any onboard
fuse? Is there any way to get it work again?

The below code works perfectly on my ubuntu desktop but fails on BBB
ubuntu! In the code I'm reading from usb GPS device /dev/ttyUSB0. Loop
breaks when device is unplugged and waits 90 seconds to reopen the device
and start reading. On BBB when GPS device is unplugged CPU is 100% used
I've connected beagleboneblack to my car power supply with 24V to 5V step
down. when I power on my car the BBB starts but when I ignite the engine
BBB stops running and don reboot though the power led is on. Can I fix it
with software change mentioned at
