Hey,
I have a BeagleBone Black connected with Code Composer Studio v5.5 through
a JTAG, xds100v2. I'm using Starterware v02.00.01.01, I've already tested
the gpioLEDBlink example and it is working correctly. The thing is, I want
to use the analog inputs A0 to A7, and I really want to know if
The power supply I bought is from AdaFruit, which I expected to be well
suited to my BBB.
I haven't yet tried booting from an SD card, so I'll do that this evening.

Hi All,
Hi All I'm trying to do the exact same thing here with bbbandroid. I have
an asus 4.0 dongle with the BCM20702A0 chipset. I'm not really experienced
when it comes to making my own kernels.
I do understand what you are doing with these high level steps you laid out
here. However, I
Hi Michael,
I've sent them to Andrew to review and hopefully include in bbbandroid. If
you're in a hurry I could email them to you.

If you're using a dongle based on a RealTek chip you might experience
intermittent issues. I know that I did. (This also depends on the version
of Linux kernel you are using.) I switched to a dongle that uses an
Atheros chipset and that works much more reliably.

It looks like any kind of power management on the Beaglebone Black board
might be a waist of time.
I see the LDO4 (VDD_3V3A supply) is connected to the enable pin of the
external 3V3 regulator U4. Probably with the intention of shutting down the
3.3V supplies when LDO4 is shut off.

Thank you for the info. I ordered a dongle from Logic Supply, not sure of
the chipset used. I will look into the Atheros chipset as well.
I built the latest kernel for Debian Beaglebone.
As far as I can tell, as long as the dongle acts as a client, it works, but

I am using debian 8.0 jessie with kernel 3.19.0-rc7-bone3 on the BBB.

Hello;
I haven’t read the tutorial, but here are some questions/suggestions.
1- Is the Beaglebone powered by an external 5V supply capable of at least 2A ?
2- Is the WiFi dongle connected directly to the USB connector? Try an
extension cable.
It could be that your original setup was

You did not say which OS distribution you are trying to install.
The rules are sometimes different, but I will suggest the following:
Install the target distribution on the microSD card usingWin32Diskimager.
Put it on the BBB and see that it boots, and that it was a good install.

I tried the listed fixes and did not get anything to work.
I tried flashing, using different power sources. In the end, I decided to
switch my system over to use a Rasp Pi 2. The BeagleBone is in a box and I
do not plan on using it again.
Hope you figure something out! I just didn't want to
Robert, I think you're the one to ask: what would it take to get the WL1835MOD

Gerald,
Thanks for the speedy response. We do have an enclosure for our product but
it is made of PC so it doesn't help much with EMC. The test lab also tried
painting it with this conductive paint but it didn't help enough. I'll
take up your offer and take this offline and contact you
Hello,
I am an ECE student from NIT durgapur and would like to work on a

Is there a way to determine the mmc device (internal or external microSD

I know u-boot will always identify that mmc 0 is exernal and mmc 1 is
internal. But that doesn't tell me which mmc device u-boot.img is
currently booting. I

I suggest you add common mode chokes on HDMI, Ethernet, and USB. And on any
