Hi Kathleen My experience with hot spots is they are gooey, wet, raw sores that the dogs can't leave alone. Bacchus will chew and lick and worry over it. They tend to increase in size and kind of crust over, but underneath it's still raw and gooey. They remind me of cold sores in people, except
