I was told this Swiss saying when I met my breeders in Switzerland:
3 years a young dog
3 years an adult dog
3 years an old dog
anything else is a gift from God
Bogen will be 11 in February so I have almost been given 2 years and
I hope for many more...

I recently did a bit of research on that saying, and the closest that I
could come is:
"Three years a young dog, three years a good dog, three years an old dog,
all else is a gift from God."

So having Berners living to 11, 12 is very possible, it is also a special
