HI all!

Cutter went through a period of being very abnoxious
about taking treats. Our trainer taught us a very
easy method for getting Cutter to take the treats
gently (no teeth). First and foremost the dog, must
not be hopping around, but ready to quietly take the
treat. For us that was standing, as were are showing
him. Put the treat in your hand an dclose your fist.
The dog does not get the treat until you feel his
tongue on your hand. Once he is licking you, say
"Gentle" or some other key word and release the treat
with your hand open flat and the treat on your palm.
It only took a few times for Cutter to learn what
behavior got him his reward and what behavior didn't.

Hope this helps!
Wendi
