Thank you to everyone who let me share in their experiences with
walking 3 large, powerful dogs safely. I am very sorry that the
subject has provoked such strong feelings, but perhaps that is only
because we all care so deeply for our breed and only wish to do the
best by them.

Yes, it is very easy. Just take it apart in the middle and put it back together on the
dog. Simply squeeze any two of
Hi Sue,
Yes there is a correct way to put on the prong collar. Petsmart now sell a
new version with a link chain that is easier to put on than the original
style which requires you to unhook a link and then fasten that into place
once around the dog's neck. You should use the bigger heavier version
Hi Wendy,
I am going to work out a training program for you knowing you are such a
fitness buff:-) Work out with weights and do a few deep knee bends, learn
to adopt a ski position so that you can remain on your feet or you are
going to provide hours of entertainment for the Canadians at Bruce's Pi

Is there a proper way to put on a prong collar? I agree they are power
steering. With two 95 pound dogs, I have been pulled off my feet, lucky I
did not break something, just a bruised face. The dogs show great respect
when I get them out in situations where absolute obedience is essential

Hi,
My experience is I prefer take a walk with each dog instead of having
trobles with 2 or 3 walked in the same time.
It is also always necessary for dogs to go for a walk on their own - not
always with company of other dogs. They behave differently and need time for
themselves.
No special collar
Hi Liz,
You may not like my suggestion but try prong collars on the two loonies:-)
Walk them individually when first using them and keep the leash loose, if
they bounce off the leash they are going to correct themselves and the one
time I needed absolute control my boy felt the collar once and neve

I'm hoping that those of you who use a harness or a Halti when
walking their dogs could perhaps give me the benefit of their
experiences please.
At present, I *only* have 3 dogs, which I'm find awkward for walking
en masse. When there were 4, I could walk them 2 at a time, but now,

I get my Siwash harnesses from DogWorks, and they do have a website.

Hi all,
Sorry to post this again, but I'm looking for resources for Siwash harnesses.
I've asked this before, but I can't find my hard copies or the whole thing
on the archives. I think this is this year's Christmas present for Jackson.
I was also wondering about starting
Karyn,
Unless you are looking for an ornamental leather parade harnesses, you can get a great
nylon webbed siwash harnesses for under $60.00. They are the standard for most draft
tests and practical day to day duty. They will outlast many dogs but they do need to
be sized your dog in most cases
