actually SAY these things to people, and I'm always happy to answer
questions about my boat boys, but sometimes hearing the same comments

if they ask, but why is it so terrible if they think your dog is a mixed breed?

I used to be both amused by and slightly resent having my girls
mislabeled as St. Bernards, or mixes or some other corruption of
breeds... but on balance, I think that is preferable to what I
experience now. Now I walk my dogs and nearly everyone very
matter-of-factly says oh a Bernese Mountain
My favorite shirt to this day is the Berner-l t-shirt with the top ten answers to
stupid questions. Better known as FAQ's.
