Was wondering what 'best practices' are for when an employee gets a different
type of Blackberry phone.
What I've been doing is:
1.Go to BES (5.0), select Manage user and find employee
2.Delete user (Yes - Delete the user and remove the Blackberry
information from the user's
When we replace a phone, I just generate a new password and reactivate.

I use BB Swiss Army Knife to do a Factory Reset also. This removes
the Default IT Policy

Was wondering what 'best practices' are for when an employee gets a different
type of Blackberry phone.
What I've been doing is:
1.Go to BES (5.0), select
1. Wipe data/disable handheld wirelessly from BES console
2. Generate an activation password
3. Wireless activation of new phone
Step 1 wipes the data and removes the PIN from BES, so when you activate the
new phone the initial data pre-population still occurs. We usually do all
of these steps
