Is it just my imagination, or has there been some optimisation work put
into 6.3? I recently upgraded to 6.3 from 6.2.2 (built on April 26th,
so not the official release).
I've noticed that server response using both softsqueeze and from the
web interface is much snappier.
Anybody else noticed

Anybody else noticed this?
I'd be surprised. Looking at
http://svn.slimdevices.com/branches/BRANCH_6_3_x/server/
I can't see many changes which could affect overall performance.

I decided to change the mini PC card rather than the whole unit.
The result is that I have had four unitis running flawlessly for
24hours.
The PCI card that was originally in the unit had the aerial connectors
to the left (looking at the unit from the front), the replacement card

No, it doesn't. The album review plugin still returns one of two
things:
-a bulleted list of review(s). this list is sometimes only one item
long.
-nothing except the name of the artist and the album (as reported here:

I'd be willing to bet that this is a 6.5 only issue, since you say that
it's not behaving this way for you. It's definitely not skin-specific

I'm too tired tonight to do anything of use... But I plan to do some work

Clear Library and rescan everything doesn't seem to clear the library
and it seems to just scan the entire disk. I tried changing the music
directory to a virtually empty directory and I still can't get rid of
the previous library (and it takes way too long to scan such a small
directory).
Yup - stop slimserver, either delete / move the slimserversql.db file
[if you are on Windows it will be under Slimserver/Server/Cache],
restart slimserver which will then build a completely new database
file. Kind of an ultimate clear and rescan.
Edited to say, it does sound a bit like your

Deleting slimserversql.db did the trick, and it now clears and scans
properly. I am not aware of any large playlists etc.. so I don't think
that is the problem, and it had all worked for several weeks before.
What seemed to trip it up was upgrading to 6.5b1, but that may just be
coincidence.

Strangely enough, I just got my SB3 this week and moved my SB2 out to
the kitchen.
This had been working fine in the living room and had also been fine
the last time it was placed in the kitchen.
I have an AP to boost the strength out there as my main wireless router
is upstairs.
Anyway it
