'Bug 3824' (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3824) pertains
to problems I've encountered with Track Artists since the split-scan
merge.
1. Track Artists are not searchable, and
2. clicking them in the web interface (at the 'Home / Song Info for...'
level) results in an empty list.
3.

Bingo! (I spoke too soon) I see the same behaviour as James when (and only
when) using Java Web Start. The problem with the Transporter skin occurs

Cream probably is that colour for me - I'm using the default XP theme.

Yes, just go into the player settings for that instance of Softsqueeze
through the SlimServer webUI and then set the bitrate limit. This will
force server side transcoding of all files sent to that SoftSqueeze to
an MP3 of the specified bitrate.

No progress yet I am afriad. From the stack trace you posted it looks

Help translate SlimServer by using the
SlimString Translation Helper
Everything works fine thus far, except that I get my very own mysql
zombie when I start slimserver:
I fixed this by letting slimserver populate a db inside the main
mysql instance.
Even so, slimserver eats a lot of memory ... top output:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM
Is softsqueeze now included in the 6.5b .EXE?

I'm seeing the same memory issues that I've always seen. SlimServer
starts at about 65MB and continuously grows larger. I restart the
SlimServer service a lot, so the largest I've seen it grow recently is
about 90MB.

it is a bit different, in that it comments on the web pages. I am
guessing the player UI problem is similar (as they both refer to the
listref for action), but you are in a better position for verifying
that. please
Just to reiterate: I'm not applying tags called TRACKARTIST. I've
pointed out some problems I associate with the internal TRACKARTIST
role.
The problems outlined above arise once artist
name is removed from role 1 (ARTIST) and give role 6 (TRACKARTIST) for
a given track.

I would like to raise a new bug report but i'm not sure how with this
one, it's really odd.
I have one album, a compilation album, which is always listed twice.
I thought i had inconsistent tags, so i completely removed all the tags
with mp3tag. Then re-tagged with the same name for the album

But it's still listed twice. Whats going on here then? Am i tagging
them wrongly?
Without seeing the tags, it's hard to tell.. would it be possible to zip up
the entire directory so I could access it somewhere?
