Hello. I have a bunch of songs set as favorites so that my boy can hold
down one of the numbered buttons on the remote and hear e.g. Yellow
Submarine!
However, I can't see a way in the web interface to assign a preset
number to the favorites, like I used to be able to in previous SBS
versions.
You are not missing anything. Since 7.5 I think presets and favourites
have been unlinked. Both needed to be set up seperately.

Hi,
in 7.6.0 r30685 once again the link to the default cover art is
broken.
If there is no cover in database, cover is linked to
http://127.0.0.1:9000/music//cover.jpg
resulting in a red cross-picture.
Maybe someone could fix?

Like the feature, but it does need to be configurable. I noticed SBS
constantly rescanning to deal with changes as I was mass processing
around 5.5k files doing a range of things. Each change would trigger
an update scan. Understand the logic/ thinking, but it should
definitely be behaviour

I am having a similar problem on debian (squeeze). I upgraded to 7.5.1
(r30670) hoping this would solve the problem, but I still cannot get
apple lossless to play. I think the problem is with the faad
transcoding. I can replicate the problem with other m4a files, if I
disable native handling
Bug still there in the nightly build of 24. April.
Is there anywhere we can report this bug?

Well, it stopped complaining when I cleared the playlist and initiated a
new one, even though it had the same content. Weird.

I've been running 7.5.1 for several weeks on Vortexbox and using the
command 'yum --enablerepo=squeezecenter-testing update
squeezeboxserver' to get the nightly updates. For the last several
nights, Yum has been reporting that no packages require updating, even
though I can see new versions have
