Hi, I tried t exchange my sb-databse by copying the whole sb-dir under "documents and setting" (incl subdirs cache, logs, prefs) from my notebook (vista) onto my desktop pc (win xp) - same sbs version, same hdd. But on restarting server it always deletes the give db and starts an initial rescan. what do I do wrong?
two ideas: 1. the only difference between the 2 db's is the db NAME (musicarchiv on my desktop, musicarchiv_laptop on my notebook). How can I change just the name of the db without performing a full rescan? 2. do i have to change any paths manually? or ist it enough to copy only the cache-subdir onto the other pc?
