SBS 7.51 has the nasty habbit of exlcuding some playlist entries with
foreign characters, like Björk.
SBS 7.60 with SQLight works great with this. But this version is still
developing rapidly, so it can be a rollercoaster ride with all kinds of
strange bugs, depending on the nighty build.
Thanks for the heads up - I did indeed a change in one of our modules which
lead to a huge increase in file size of two of the helper apps. Should be fixed
in today's builds.

Just received a new 7.5.1 firmware and on reboot got offered a list of
patches. I saw the update all one and applied it. The radio then
rebooted and all my applets were reinstalled. Great job!

Can some explain the arcane logic behind when and how the server

I only know that I have
I believe that SbS checks at startup and then every 12 hours for new
firmware for all players. Once downloaded, your player will then
prompt you to install it.
Recently, this has been somewhat less than deterministic due to the
problems with the CDN. Sometimes update.slimdevices.com will point
I've been running the beta versions for ages, at least since the Fab4
was in early beta. Recently, the debian repository seems a bit out of
whack.
