The opml editor from MyPicks is still there (minus the export to

Surely Favourites are really intended just to be links to
stations/albums/songs etc which are stored elsewhere in primary menus?
The Favorites menu is just a quick access shortlist. So it does not
actually make sense to import directly into Favourites at all. There
should be a My radio stations

Terje, I agree with you. Maybe also an option to protect them.
Yes, an option to protect various items would be nice. That even goes
for other things it should be possible to block access to. Like
settings both on the SB's themself and the web GUI.

The addition does not have to be part of SC. It is possible to have a

I think it is a point of view.
I think it is right at present as Favorites contains all the items that
are mine and all the other menus are either SC or 3rd party plugins.

Some type of validation of streams would also be quite helpful for
maintaining personal Internet radio streams. A script which would
check for valid streams in the background, checking multiple times over
a given time period and reporting which seem to be broken.

I agree with the OP. The ONLY reason I haven't upgraded to SC7 is
because I use the MyPicks.opml plugin ALL THE TIME! I hated the way

I understand that SC7.0 has built in OPML support now and have read
around the forum that it obsoletes the old My Picks plugin. However, I

I guess you've seen the Favorites menu

That's why I mentioned it. Do you just want the favorites to be
displayed inside the radio menu or is there more to your request?
Basically that's all I need yes. A way to show radio favorites inside
the radio menu where they logically belongs.

We have several squeezeboxes and from time to time somebody deletes
radio stations in the favorite menu. So it would be nice to have a
separate favorite menu only for radio stations, protected...

I agree. Something like a My Internet Stations that also calls up the
Favorites OPML menu to edit the heirarchy of radio stations.
There was a good plugin in SS6.5, where one could easily add radio stations
