I had similar problems with connecting to LMS on 64bit Windows7 (enterprise). I'm also running VMWare player on the same machine. Inspired by Heth's findings I disabled VMWare's virtual ethernet adapters and now all problems have disappeared. -- kisipila

I've got the exact same problem. Running SBS and SP on one machine. I start Squeezeplay with Administrator permission. Squeezeplay can see the Server but connecting fails. (System is Windows 7 Starter 32 Bit; sucessfully used the same setup with Windows 7 Pro 64Bit) Any ideas? -- kejo

I'm not sure it's an x64 issue. I had the same problem a few months back and I'm 90% sure it was on my 32-bit HTPC. It eventually went away. Unfortunately I never worked out why. Are you sure your version of Squeezeplay matches the version of SBS? -- Davidg1

I run on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and it works fine. You might right click on the icon then select Properties/Security and look at the permissions settings. You might need to adjust them. When I do that allow is checked for all except special at the bottom -- dasmueller

After doing some more fiddling with SP I've noticed that it does also register itself on MSB.com (if I delete the player from there and launch SP again it reappears on MSB.com). I cannot connect to MSB.com from the player though. I have tried disabling firewalls as well. -- Martinhdk
