Instead we document what changes/breaks between releases, and try to
keep *reasonably* stable.

Completely agree with what Diego said.
Also, having the breaking changes in the release notes isn't very useful when
working on development builds. Breaking changes should be documented as they
are made (and a commit log is not documentation).

Why does duplication have rotation only with vertex and scale only with
face? I know I can just apply the scale or rotation to get the effect I need
but 2.4 was way better in this respect. Are there future plans or is there
something here I don't get?
