Well, I moved everything months ago and I decided only now to solve that
longstanding issue, so no, no backups are available and I don't even
remember all the paths. I can however check them with a python script I
found in a previous message.

Ok, I copied the correct BDSK string and now I can get the paths. I moved
back the bibdesk file so that most of the linked PDFs are found and I saved
it to the final position. I corrected manually the few ones left with
errors.
Next time I will try to attach files with AppleScript, I'm rusty :(

I keep my folder with pdf articles on a SMB server and I initially kept the
bibdesk file in the same folder. Now I moved the .bib to one level higher
than the pdfs and this folder have been moved to another place in the
server. The links (either absolute or relative) to the files are now
