I tried my Bibtex file with the current build in a Snow Leopard Server
VM. Everything works fine there, so I guess it's a Lion issue.

Author = Lastname, space seems to work. Without the comma and the trailing
space the little table under the Drop files here area stays empty. Maybe that
is an acceptable workaround?

Though it turns out the Name, space might not be a good work around as the
tex preview fails:

So, sounds more like a Lion problem than a BibDesk problem, as that is the only
difference. However I have no idea where that problem could come from. Can't be
in our code, perhaps somewhere in the bibtex parser.
