I thought the cite key was included in the past, but it does not seem
to be there anymore. I added it along with the bibtex type, try
tomorrows nightly. BTW, you can also type field names, though not
this particular one as it contains a space.

See the Help for the full available syntax, in particular the
Autogeneration Format Syntax appendix. There is no combination of
number of characters and dropping small words, but you can limit the
number of words that are included as in %T[3]5.

I see. That works, but now the citekeys are not being limited in length.
I've tried a couple of combinations to get both rules, such as %t15%t[3] and
%t15[3], but these do not seem to work. Is there a syntax that does both, or

trying to search in the citekey field using Find and Replace. But the
citekey field does not seem to be available in the Field drop-down menu.
Thanks.

Hello again,
Two questions about citekeys.
1. Is there any way to get the citekey generator to ignore initial "The,"
"A," and "An" in titles?
2. Is there any way to search citekeys? When I use the Find and Replace
dialog, "citekey" is not available as a field to search. I want to remove
all the
Well, I am confused. It is working now, so I'm not sure what the problem
was! Previously, I wasn't getting the Confirmation dialog that said I was
about to delete the item from the group; I was getting the general delete
confirmation. Unless, of course, I was hallucinating. Maybe I thought I had
