I have bind9.12.2 running.
I populate zones with a catalog zone, which is fine.
But if I do a ‘rndc showzone ’ on a slave server, I get:
rndc: 'showzone' failed: failure
In the log nothing strange:

In the logfile I get:

a catalog member zone will be available?
Just like with allow-transfer.catalog.example. IN APL ….

I have FreeBSD and the bind-tools 9.16.X package installed and I am using the
python module "isc" included in it with ansible.
Now when I tried to upgrade to bind-tools 9.18 package I see that the python
module is no longer included.
I thought it might be the FreeBSD package, but I

Hello,
I have two bind dns servers as client resolvers with local zones and for the
rest
configured forwarders. The root zone “.” and hints file is commented out.
In the connection logs on the firewall I see a lot of connections from the
resolvers
to the root dns servers.
So can anybody
