dnstap might be what you want, but it's a bit intricate.

Log queried forwarder IP address

Hi

I have a caching resolver. Is it possible to log the IP address of the 
queried forwarder without too much overhead?
As I see, the resolver category should log this, but only in debug 3. Is 
there another way to do this?
