free software for real-time sound analysis

2011-04-19 Thread Gianni Pavan
Hi all,
I'm glad to say that SeaWave 2.0 real-time spectrogram and recorder
software is now available for free download from our website:
http://www.unipv.it/cibra/seawave.html
Any feedback will be welcome!

Please, don't confuse it with Seewave, the great R package developed by
J.Sueur: http://rug.mnhn.fr/seewave/

new ultrasonic microphone with usb interface

2011-04-19 Thread Gianni Pavan
 Hi all,
I would raise your attention on a new ultrasonic microphone with
integrated 200kHz AD converter and USB interface. It can be connected to any
PC with either Windows, OSX, or Linux, without any additional driver. If
interested here is the link: http://www.dodotronic.com.

A spectrogram in your pocket

2011-04-19 Thread serge masse
A spectrogram in your pocket: )s) SpectrogramOne is an Android app that
performs
a spectrogram analysis on live sounds from the device microphone. It works on
Android 1.6 and above.

It uses an implementation of the FFT from math.nist.gov/scimark2. It runs at 20
cycles per second. It samples voltages at 48,000 samples per second. It uses an
array of 512 voltage samples for the FFT.

This is the first version of the app and if there is sufficient interest, I am
planning to add functions to allow the user to set these parameters.
