Migration is well underway but there have been no extraordinary sightings in
the Kingston area this week. Three Bald Eagles, 2 Immatures, and 1 adult put
in an appearance on Aug. 20th, one on Wolfe Island, the other two north of
Elginburg. Six Northern Harriers were also seen on Wolfe that same

Hi Everyone
Yesterday, Aug. 24 I observed 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls , 2 adult and
1 second year bird , 2 at Deschenes Rapids and one in a field near Carling
Ave. and Rifle Road. Today, one adult was present at Deschenes Rapids along
with 200+ Great Black-backed Gulls.

The Britannia Conservation Area is sizzling right now.
This morning, several birders were treated to a flurry of warbler
movement, especially along the ridge at Britannia.
I personally tallied 16 species, while missing 3 species reported by
other birders (total 19).

I was just fixing my computer a few minutes ago when I noticed
movement on the branch outside my window. Upon further inspection it
turned out to be a juvenile CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER. I then noticed
that the plum trees and Scots pines in the back yard were full of
immature warblers
