Saw both species of owls last evening at dusk at Rattray's by the Green
Glade school.
Take exit 126 at Southdown Rd.south to the Lakeshore Rd.turn east to Meadow
Wood Dr.south to Green Glade.
The saw-whets were on the grown about 10 feet from me they then flew off
into the woods south of the
I had a few small to medium-sized flocks of Greater Snow Geese heading east
over Cornwall today - close to 400 in total. There were also numerous small
flocks of Canadas.
Other spring additions for the day included more Robins, Cedar Waxwings, a
couple of Great Blue Herons, Killdeer, Turkey
The town is Mississauga exit # 126 is off the Q.E. way to Lakeshore Rd. in
Clarkson.

This afternoon, around 4, I had a Turkey Vulture fly over my car on
Carling and Holly Acres Rd, heading towards Andy Haydon Park. A bit
further up, on Cedarview Rd, a pair of Red-tailed Hawks ( I have seen
them here a few weeks ago) mating in the tree in the middle of the

Despite the rather unpleasant weather, I decided to stop in and check the
waterfowl habitat at Humber Bay East Park around 7pm today. I was rewarded
with a male Ring-necked Duck in the northeast cell. This is the first time I
have seen this species in the park.

Dear Fellow Birders,
Today I was out with some birders from Guelph to the Hamilton area and
the highlight for our day was 8 King Eiders off of Sayers Park in
Stoney Creek. They consisted of 6 imm. males and two females. A few
Surf Scoters were also present but visibility was declining when we
