There were excellent night flights over Kingston late last week. In the wee
hours of Friday morning thousands of Swainson's Thrushes and hundreds of Hermit
and Gray-cheeked could be heard flying over the city. Warbler and vireo
movement continues apace. Last weekend there were 18 species of war

Hey there
This morning about eleven am, Bill and Colleen Lindley found a
Chuck-will's-widow at Fanshawe Conservation Area. It was sighted again after
six pm when he was able to contact others and take them out to look for it.
It was in a pine plantation near the Campgrounds.
Has it been there
This evening while not seeing the Sabine's Gull found earlier in the day saw 4
male White-winged Scoter at the Britannia Pier.

I couldn't resist hawk watching today as the conditions this morning seemed
perfect for a good flight.
Between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m Terrie Smith and I watched the spectacle as 2205
hawks/vultures streamed over my house in Ajax. When the winds shifted south,
the flight abruptly stopped.

100+ Broad-winged Hawks were seen just west of Kitchener/Waterloo at 16:30
today.
Also,
1 Northern Parula today and 2 Blackburnian Warblers and 2 Nashville Warblers
yesterday.

Hi Everyone!
I know - I promised more frequent updates, but I've been caught up in the
Monarch migration frenzy in the last week and haven't had time to post, let
alone look at many birds.
There are birds around...I'm happy to report.
We are still seeing a nice diversity of warblers in the park

Hello Ontbirders.
I'm currently looking at a juvenile Sabine's Gull flying with 9 Bonaparte's
Gulls, immediately east of the Deschene's Rapids in Ottawa.
Although I'm viewing it from my balcony, you should be able to clearly see it
from Britannia Point, or the Quebec side.
