Further detail per Bob's post, he I together refound the male Cerulean
(originally reported yesterday) foraging in the trees surrounding the
cemetery's office, on the northwest side of the office. This is where plots 18,
22 and 19 conjoin and is in the eastern portion of the cemetary, east of
Grimsby, ON - Beamer Conservation Area

The male Cerulean Warbler continues to be seen at Mount Pleasant Cemetery,
being seen as of 10 am in the Silver Maple with the Plot 15 marker and the
nearby Smoothleaf Elm, associating with a Ruby-crowned Kinglet and
chickadees and singing regularly.
Mount Pleasant Cemetery can be easily accessed
I just saw the cerulean in the tall deciduous trees in front of the
Mount Pleasant cemetery office. Take the entrance on the east side of
Mount Pleasant Road and follow the road straight to the office.

At aroud ten a.m. I saw a partially moulted Summer Tanager at Black Oak
Park, Windsor. The bird's head was all red, but the body was all greenish.

45 OFO members participated in a tour of the southern edge of the Minesing
Wetlands on Saturday, April 28. The flooded plains off McKinnon Road had
been quite low in recent weeks, but precipitation during the previous week
had produced ideal conditions for waders. A lack of shorebird variety was

This morning my wife and I were treated to a splendid spectacle as a Bald
Eagle (3rd year?) and an Osprey battled in the sky. Initially the eagle was
being pestered by a crow, to which it paid no heed, but when the Osprey
appeared on the scene a serious dispute ensued. The Osprey repeatedly dived
Nonquon lagoons were quite productive today ... there is an increasing amount
of habitat forming. Each lagoon has some good edge habitat and it looks like
the water levels are actually going down which is good for shorebirds of
course! No sign of the previously reported Eurasian Wigeon today.

Hey Birders,
The last 3 days have been relatively slow, with non-conducive weather for
migrants, though its looking like this week will be very good! Not too many new
migrants have been noted on the island, as echoed by Sarah Rupert's email from
Point Pelee today.
Highlights:
Among all the many ducks, geese and swans on Cranberry Marsh, I saw a m/f pair
of green-winged teals. They were seen in the early am on Saturday, April 21,
and again on Saturday, April 28.
Also seen: Pied grebe, Shoveler, Wood Duck, Egret, Horned Grebe, Trumpeter
Swans, Gadwalls, the other
First off
Approximately 12 acres of the Oshawa Second Marsh and adjacent Mclaughlin Bay
Reserve went up in flames this afternoon. The fire started at the observation
platform (which suffered some charring and vandalism) and burned south to the
North end of Cool Hollow before it was stopped by

It was a nice Sunny day for Birding and we found 83 Species .
There were very few Warblers with only 4 species to be seen by our Group.
We had a good look at the Yellow-Throated Warbler Seen at Ric McArther's
