Over the weekend I found two local Snowy Owls - one just east of Zorra Line,
about 1 km north of Beachville, and a 2nd sitting on the ice in the west end of
Pittock Lake.
Although mostly frozen, Pittock had good numbers of (mostly) Herring Gulls
fishing the open leads. In their midst were a

end of the road ( at #25) I saw a Northern Shrike. While looking at it on a
wire I then spotted a heavily streak Snowy Owl sitting on the last pole on the

move around, when I was a Ressor Pond around 11:15 the 3 Ross's & 4 Snow Geese
were all there resting amongst all the Canada's.

Tree Sparrow to the Brambling, or a Cattle Egret visible from a public
road and now the owner of a residence near Bailieboro, where a

I missed the Ross's at ressor pond but did see 3 birds fly in along the Durham
York line about half a kilometre south of the 407. The 4 snow geese were also
present there, 2 white and 2 blue along with several thousand Canada's This
was at about 10 am
