Hi birders,
I just found a Fish Crow in a field with a large group of crows on the
south side of Bowen Road just west of Pettit Road in northwest of Fort Erie
proper. The bird is vocalizing a lot so should be fairly easy to find. In
with a good sized group of crows.
Directions. From the Niagara
Just spent an hour and half at Lakeside Park and Carrington Promenade in
Oakville looking for yesterday's Cave Swallows. No luck.
Take Southdown Rd south from the QEW until it turns into Lakeshore Rd.
Lakeside Park is off of Lakshore, Carrington Promenade is off of Carrington Pl.
at Birbank
Just spotted a nice male Harlequin duck (lifer!!!) whilst waiting for the cave
swallows to show at the south end of Arkendo park. Burd is hanging out with
several bufflehead and common goldeneye.
Take 403 to Winston churchill and go south to lakeshore. Turn right on
lakeshore then a quick left
I'm looking at a male and female Surf Scoter in the middle of Pinehurst Lake,
getting nice close views from west side.
Requires a 10-15 minute hike in as gates to CA are closed.

There is currently an adult male Harlequin Duck feeding with a flock of
Bufflehead just offshore from Arkendo Park.
To reach Arkendo park, exit the QEW at Winston Churchill Blvd and follow it
down to Lakeshore Road. Turn right onto lakeshore and then turn left onto
Arkendo Drive. Walk down to

This morning while birding with Steve Charbonneau and Allen Woodliffe, we
found a female NORTHERN PARULA (record late by 10 days) on south point
trail. It was in the area opposite the trail to the light beacon. I went
back a couple of hours later with Garry Sadler and we refound it. Better
There was a juvenile Black-crowned Night-Heron at Bain Park in Trenton
this morning.
To get to Bain Park, take RCAF Road south 'till you reach the lake. It's
at the west edge of the Trenton Air Force Base.

Today in the Sundridge area there were numerous flocks of Redpolls some flocks
numbered over 100 birds.
A large flock of 400+ Pine Siskin mixed with a few redpolls was seen just south
of Sundridge.
Other birds seen Pine Grosbeak and Evening Grosbeak in small numbers.
Purple Finch and Am.
