Hello birders,
On 3 June we had 70 species in the forest but today because of moderate
drizzle during the first 2 hours and a real downpour during the last hour,
we managed to identify only 32 species of which 7 were warblers (14 a few
days ago). The upside was that each participant
Dickcissels are back on the field east of Wheatley. I saw one perched in a
short shrub and heard at least another one. The field is 2 to 3 km east of
Wheatley, on the south side of the highway. There are storage tanks and a
pump for crude oil on the field.

At 0830 this morning there is a all white Iceland gull among the ringbills,
This bird has a bill that is light at the basal half & tip half dark.
Believe it or not there was another Iceland on the pier June 2 that had a
bill almost all dark, only a little light color at the base. I've never
seen

The singing male Yellow-throated Warbler is present and singing nearly
continuously this morning. It started out at dawn singing in the large pines in
my backyard and gradually worked its way east to the property just east of the
