*63rd Pickering Christmas Bird Count December 30, 2016*
Pickering held its 63rd Christmas Bird Count on Friday December 30, 2016.
The count was sponsored by Pickering Naturalists. A total of 70 species
were counted, somewhat above our 14-year average of 66.4 species per count.

Hello Ontario birders
The Yellow-headed blackbird is still present at the Comber Agris in Essex
County. Originally found by Jeremey Bensette and myself last week. 1000s of
blackbirds to sift through, but there isn't as many as there was originally :)
The Comber Agris is located just North

It flew south and we lost it. There's a feeding flock just off control gates
and may be visible from Canadian side at the Control Gates above Falls.
