Persistent unseasonably cool weather at Presqu'ile Provincial Park has
slowed the bird migration to a crawl and high lake water levels have
inundated several areas that normally provide habitat for migrants.

I saw an unusual buteo, but we did not have suitable reference materials to

The highlight of the week was an IBIS (*plegadis sp.)*, seen flying towards
Shirley’s Bay on the 4th. Unfortunately the species

Tern wasn’t there when I went back this afternoon.

Just had good looks at what we believe to be LeContes Sparrow on beach approx. 100m south of where path from Dunnes meets beach. Able to watch for 15min before losing in another shrub. Pics taken.cheers,scott___

A lot of the migrants that were here yesterday are still being seen today, and
there are a number of new migrants that have arrived.
Over 25 species of warbler are being seen including YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT,
KENTUCKY WARBLER, PROTHONOTARY WARBLER, CERULEAN WARBLER, and LOUISIANA
WATERTHRUSH.
Hi folks-
For anyone who is still looking, there is a male Prothonotary Warbler in the
area just north of bridge B on the Woodland Nature Trail. He sang a couple of
times. There's another singing male just north of Bridge F.

Kens Pacific Loon just flew over park orientation coming from the lake and
headed SOUTH again over the marsh. An immature type Common Loon is visible on
the lake from Park Orientation also.

An adult alternate Pacific Loon, just flew over the tip, headed NW.
We also had a Dickcissel flyover earlier (possibly 2 birds).
