This evening I stopped in at the Hearst sewage lagoons. There were a few
shorebirds present, including 2 Red-necked Phalaropes in the northeast cell,
and a Willet in the southwest cell (out of the four big cells). Photos of these

Being seen now in Cobourg Harbour at the foot of Division Street. Found an
hour go by Mark Patry. Just rounding into full alternate plumage. Well

Good afternoon,At 5pm I spotted a very large Common Raven fly by past my
north-facing office window on Eastern Ave. at Booth Ave. The bird was flying
due South-East, likely towards Tommy Thompson Park/Leslie St Spit. Tommy
Thompson Park starts at the very foot of Leslie Street at Unwin Ave. in
For those who are interested the Brown Pelican can be viewed perched on the
buoy off of Bowen Rd along the Niagara River. The bird is currently on the US.

A Western Grebe was first observed this morning upstream of Deschenes Rapids,
viewable from west end of Cassels Rd in Britannia Village but better from
Quebec side of river above the Rapids. For Cassels, take Pinecrest exit from
417, then follow these directions from Neilyworld bird-pages:
