Today Ian Cannell, Bob Tyler and I birded Ward’s Island on another beautiful
day despite the forecast being a little off and we found 56 species of birds
including 14 warbler species and some nice views of Giant Swallowtails that
appeared to be resent emergent butterflies, so crisp and vibrant

I just had a Yellow Billed Cuckoo at Sedgewick park. Just north of the
pollution control centre
Sedgewick is in Oakville. Take 3rd line south from QEW. Turn left on Left on
Lakeshore. North on Woodhaven Park Drive. Right on Hixon st to entrance to
woods.

Hi all,
While not earth shattering, a moulting adult Dark-eyed Junco just appeared in
my backyard in Brighton. I don’t think I have ever seen one in August before
and it seems remarkably early for a migrant. Just thought I would pass that on.
