There's a drake Barrow's Goldeneye in a raft of Greater Scaup on the east side of East Point Park in Scarborough. The raft is slowly drifting east. To get to the park, head south down Beechgrove and follow the turn east toward the treatment plant. Head south to parking lot and walk to the lake.

The 19th (official) Kawartha Field Naturalists CBC was held near Fenelon Falls, Thursday, December 28th, 2017. At 8:00 a.m. it was -31 C. It "warmed up" to -18 C by 2:00 p.m.. Bone chilling. We had more water aquatic species than I would have thought, given the frigid weather. There was just enough
