Unfortunately the drive down to view the duck yielded no bird today.
There were plenty of other birds of interest, however - Ruddy Duck, Greater
Black-backed Gull, American Coot, Scaup, Ring-necked Duck, Northern Shoveler,
Long-tailed Duck, Common Merganser, Bufflehead and Mute Swan.

Today, Beverly Hadler photographed an adult male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD at
2060 Port Davidson Road, about 3 km south of Smithville. The bird was also
at neighboring properties and was seen from 2:00-3:30 in the afternoon.
Good luck if you try for this bird!

Approximately 200 to 250 Pine Siskins just showed up at my house. At first
they were feeding on the cedars but then quickly dropped to the ground in
an open area and I believe were picking up thrips or snow fleas as they are
also known . There seems to be a good "hatch" right now of the thrips.
Lisa Teskey and I just found a white morph Snow Goose on Grimsby MountainIts in
a flooded field on the east side of Mountain Road between Kemp Road and Elm
Tree Road. Now it has flown directly behind Fore Family Golf and is still
visible from road. Marker is # 239. Photos taken.
